The table matches Overlay runtime limits
PayPal still shows the USD price at checkout; this page is about capability, not an invented sticker price. Eligible new subscriptions may include a 14-day trial configured in PayPal.
Local YouTube Music lyrics can work without an account. Overlay links and cloud continuity require sign-in. Free includes a watermarked Overlay.
Entitlements
Overlay link count is a tie: Free, Trial, and Pro all allow 1 active unrevoked link. Creating a second public page is not a product feature.
Free Overlay access polls every 8s. Trial and Pro prefer WebSocket. Neither mode fabricates timing for plain text.
| Capability | Free | Trial / Pro | Winner |
|---|---|---|---|
| Watermark | Yes | No | Trial / Pro |
| Karaoke | Off | On with word-level timing | Trial / Pro when timing exists |
| 3D rotation | Forced to 0 | Configured rotateY | Trial / Pro |
| Context lines | 3 compact | 3 or 5 | Trial / Pro for five lines |
| Updates | 8s poll | WebSocket | Trial / Pro |
| Overlay links | 1 | 1 | Tie: both 1 |
What Free still does
Free includes the core lyrics experience in YouTube Music and a private Overlay URL. Missing lyrics are a catalog fact, not a plan unlock.
If you only need in-tab lyrics, stay on Free. Upgrade when you need continuity, rotation, Karaoke, or an Overlay without the watermark.
What Pro does not buy
Pro does not grant a music license, TikTok LIVE access, extra Overlay URLs, or word-level timestamps the source does not have.
Karaoke stays honest: without compatible timing, Trial and Pro still cannot invent a sweep. Overlay URLs remain credentials on every plan.
Step-by-step setup
- 01Decide whether you need an Overlay at all
Local lyrics in YouTube Music can work without sign-in. Overlay links require an account.
- 02Read watermark, Karaoke, and 3D as Free clamps
Turning those controls on in a screenshot does not override Free.
- 03Treat Overlay link count as a tie
Every plan allows 1 active link. Rotate a leaked URL instead of minting a second page.
- 04Upgrade only for continuity and Overlay effects you can actually show
Word-level Karaoke still needs compatible timing after you leave Free.
Frequently asked questions
Does Pro allow more Overlay URLs?
No. Every tier allows one active Overlay link.
Who wins if I only need local YouTube Music lyrics?
Free. Cloud sync and premium Overlay effects are the Pro reason to upgrade.
Does Free include rotating 3D or Karaoke if the song is timed?
No. Free flattens 3D and keeps Karaoke off even when timestamps exist.
