A reading list versus a perspective stage
player-multi exists to show nearby lines. lyrics-3d is a perspective stage, not a fourth product and not a theme store.
Free rotateY is 0. Turning 3D on in a screenshot does not override Free. Karaoke is a separate control and stays off on Free.
Side-by-side
Do not call 3D a winner on Free. The front-facing flatten removes the stage look that Trial and Pro can show.
On Trial or Pro, 3D still needs leftover width and height after cameras and comments. A cramped 9:16 scene often still wants player-multi.
| Field | player-multi | lyrics-3d | Better when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reading | Strong | Stylized | Need verse context → multi |
| Rotation | None | Trial/Pro only | Want a stage → 3D on Trial/Pro |
| Free look | Unchanged | Front-facing flatten | Free → usually multi |
On Free, multi-line is usually clearer
A flattened 3D block still occupies stage-like space without delivering rotation. Viewers get less reading value for the same footprint.
If the plan is Free and the goal is readable verse context, pick player-multi. Upgrade the plan before promising a rotating stage on stream.
When a 3D stage is worth the space
Use lyrics-3d on Trial or Pro when the scene has a dedicated stage region and motion will not collide with gifts or comments.
Word-level Karaoke fill is not implied by 3D. It still needs compatible timing and a non-Free plan.
Step-by-step setup
- 01Check the plan before expecting rotation
If the plan is Free, expect a flattened front view. Do not promise 3D on stream.
- 02Measure leftover width and height after reserved regions
A reading list needs less stage room than lyrics-3d.
- 03Pick player-multi when verse context matters more than motion
Pick lyrics-3d only on Trial or Pro when a stage region exists.
- 04Judge Karaoke on a separate pass
3D rotation does not create word-level timestamps. Free keeps Karaoke off.
Frequently asked questions
Which wins on Free?
Multi-line. Free 3D cannot use the configured rotation.
Does lyrics-3d include Karaoke?
No. Karaoke is a separate control. It needs word-level timing and Trial or Pro.
Can I stretch a 16:9 3D overlay into 9:16 to save a source?
No. Use a dedicated Browser Source per orientation. Stretching makes anchors lie.
