Set the source to the canvas size
Create the Browser Source at exactly 1920×1080 and keep the background transparent. When the source and the OBS canvas share the same pixel size, the anchor you pick in Overlay settings lands where you expect and the font stays crisp.
If the source is smaller than the canvas and you scale it up in OBS, text softens and outlines blur. Resize the source itself rather than dragging its bounding box.

Choose multi-line, or single-line when space is tight
Start with player-multi at 32–48px when there is room below the camera for the current line plus one or two context lines. Landscape scenes usually have that horizontal room.
If the webcam already fills the lower third, switch to player-single so a single current line sits in a slim bar instead of colliding with the camera.
Reserve the webcam, alerts, and chat
There are 9 anchor positions. Pick one only after you have placed the webcam, alert box, and any on-screen chat, so the lyric block fills the space that is actually free.
Bottom-center and bottom-left are the safest landscape anchors. Preview the longest line in the song before going live; a line that wraps onto two rows changes the height you need.
Do not stretch this source into a vertical scene
A 1920×1080 source is tuned for horizontal space. If you also stream vertically, build a separate 1080×1920 source instead of stretching this one; the anchors and font range do not transfer between aspect ratios.
