TikTok LIVE is the publisher, not an API
StreamLyric is an independent Chrome extension. It does not connect to TikTok LIVE, grant LIVE access, or send comments or gifts. You still need whatever LIVE workflow your account already uses.
The product boundary is narrow on purpose: YouTube Music supplies playback, StreamLyric supplies a lyric layer, and OBS composes the frame you publish. Calling that an official TikTok product would be false.
Keep lyrics off faces, comments, gifts, and controls
Phone-first LIVE layouts already spend most of the frame on the performer, comments, gifts, and account controls. Lyrics that sit on those regions are unreadable and look like a UI collision, not a feature.
Reserve those regions first. Place a compact lyric block beside or below the performer. player-single or a tight 3-line player-multi usually fits; a wide landscape Overlay does not.
Use a 1080×1920 canvas instead of stretching 16:9
Set the OBS canvas and the Browser Source to 1080×1920. Stretching a 1920×1080 Overlay into 9:16 makes anchors and font size lie.
Do not reuse one stretched source for both orientations. Preview the longest line at phone size before going LIVE.
Hide the Overlay URL before you go LIVE
The Overlay URL is a credential. Anyone who can read it can request the current playback state. Never leave the Browser Source properties, a QR code, or a tutorial window visible on camera.
Each plan allows 1 active link. If a VOD, screenshot, or guest PC may have stored the key, revoke it and paste the replacement into OBS.
Step-by-step setup

StreamLyric cannot enable TikTok LIVE. Use the publishing path your account already has.
- 02Create a 1080×1920 OBS scene
Match the canvas and Browser Source to 9:16 so the Overlay is not stretched from 16:9.
- 03Place lyrics in the leftover safe zone
Keep text off the face, instrument, comments, gifts, captions, and platform controls.
- 04Preview at phone size and hide the URL
Check contrast on a phone-sized window, then make sure the Overlay key is not on camera.
Frequently asked questions
Does StreamLyric connect directly to TikTok?
No. TikTok LIVE is only the publishing destination. There is no TikTok API traffic and no official integration.
Why are lyrics not synchronized on LIVE?
Synchronization needs timed lyrics for the current YouTube Music track. Plain text cannot provide timed progression, and StreamLyric does not fabricate a timeline.
Can I stretch my 16:9 Overlay into TikTok LIVE?
No. Use a dedicated 1080×1920 Browser Source. A stretched 1920×1080 source places anchors and type at the wrong scale.
