Coins, diamonds, and the platform cut
Viewers buy coins with real money and spend them on gifts. When a gift is sent, TikTok converts it to diamonds for the creator and keeps a commission — widely cited at about 50%. Diamonds cash out at roughly $0.005 each, so most of what a viewer spends never reaches the creator.
This calculator uses those public figures as defaults: creator payout = coins × (1 − platform cut) × diamond value. With the defaults, 1,000 coins ≈ 500 diamonds ≈ $2.50 to the creator. Every rate is editable, so you can match fresher numbers or your region.
Popular gifts and their coin cost
Pick a well-known gift to auto-fill its coin cost, then read the estimated diamonds and payout. The list is a small, curated set of commonly-cited gifts (for example Rose at 1 coin, Galaxy at 1,000, Lion at 29,999, Universe at 34,999).
Coin costs change by app version and region, so treat every value as approximate and verify the current price in the TikTok app before relying on it.
