Verify the YouTube Music playback state
Start a song and confirm StreamLyric can see its lyric state. Pause, seek, and song changes should update the published playback anchor when supported.
A song with only plain text will not behave like a timed lyric source.
Check the private Overlay link
Confirm OBS uses the newest link created for the account. A revoked link cannot retrieve the current state.
Never paste the key into public support messages or screenshots. Replace the link if it may have been exposed.
Allow for the current connection mode
Free Overlay access uses periodic polling and can update less frequently. Eligible trial or Pro access uses a real-time connection first and can fall back when needed.
No mode guarantees zero latency. Network conditions and the lyric source still affect updates.
