YOUTUBE MUSIC + OBS

Make every line feel closer to the music.

StreamLyric is an independent Chrome extension for YouTube Music. It adds a customizable lyrics layer in the browser and can send the current playback state to OBS as a private Browser Source. TikTok LIVE is a publishing scenario, not a direct integration.

Quick answer: how do I add lyrics to OBS?

Install StreamLyric from the Chrome Web Store, open YouTube Music, customize the lyric style, copy the private Overlay link, and paste it into an OBS Browser Source with a transparent background.

Use 1920×1080 for landscape music streams or 1080×1920 for vertical / TikTok LIVE scenes. Keep the Overlay URL private.

What StreamLyric is

StreamLyric is not an official YouTube or TikTok product. YouTube Music is the current playback and lyrics source. OBS composes the live scene. TikTok LIVE, Streamlabs, or another encoder can publish that scene through your own account workflow.

Availability of lyrics and timing varies by song, region, and provider. Timed lyrics stay timed; plain text stays readable without fabricated progression.

Frequently asked questions

Does StreamLyric work with TikTok LIVE?

Yes as a publishing scenario. StreamLyric provides the lyric Overlay; you add it to OBS and send that scene through your own TikTok LIVE workflow. There is no TikTok API integration.

Does every song have synchronized lyrics?

No. Some tracks have word-level or line-level timing, some only plain text, and some have no lyrics.

Is the Overlay URL public?

No. Treat it as a credential. Anyone with the link can view the current playback state. Revoke it if it is exposed.
